Asheray Welfare & Charitable Society is non–political, non–sectarian, and non–profit making voluntary organization formed in the yea 2005 and registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. Organization is devoted to the cause of upliftment and welfare of women and children from the underprivileged sections of the society. The major activity area of the organization is Skill Development, Training in Self Defense, Non-Formal Education, Awareness, and sensitization. We have our centers at 1st floor, Community center,Pant Nagar, Jangpura, New Delhi-110014 and R1, RamkumarGautam Marg, East Vinod Nagar, East Delhi-110091.Till date organization has impacted the lives of more than 65,057+ women from the marginalized community by empowering them and enhancing their skills in the job-oriented courses with support from corporate and government. We are also building skills of Self Defense among girl students studying in government schools of Delhi.
The Goal of the organization is to impart training to adolescent girls and women from the SC/ST/OBC community living in urban slums in the vocational skills and make them eligible for wage/self-employment. Thus empowering them and making them economically independent through its diverse programs.
Women Empowerment through Vocational Training for Employment, Self Defense, Non-Formal Education, Health Care, and Awareness and sensitization falls under the domain of organizational activity.
We constantly are making endeavors to reach out to women and girls in increasingly innovative ways and working towards issues that concern. Skill Development and employability is an important responsive strategies to make women empowered. We are also imparting training in self-defense to women and girls. The safety of women and girls has become a matter of concern. We don’t need to look at statistics to confront the callous truth. News stories of women and girls from all over India being raped, beaten, and killed are flashed across us day after day – and we all are aware of it. Being able to protect yourself in all situations is a confidence booster as much as it is a reassurance. This training program equipped each and every beneficiary with easy techniques of self-protection.
In the years since, the organization has empowered more than thousands of women and assisted them in discovering their strength and self-esteem through skill development projects in Beauty, Apparel Designing, Handicrafts and Computer Education for the women from economic weaker sections in Delhi. All are courses are affiliated from the able bodies. Our project adopts the matrix approach and other than skilling women it makes them to feel confident, whole and capable of anything.
We are also imparting training in Self-Defence to make the women to learn art of self-protection.
